Founder and CEO
Burak Başlılar founded System Defence in 2018 and serves as its founder and chief executive officer.
He is responsible for the management of product development, manufacturing and export operations. The company’s pistol, rifle and machine-gun systems are developed and manufactured at its facility in Gölbaşı, Ankara, under its status as a manufacturer registered and licensed with the Turkish Ministry of National Defence; products are exported to allied nations on four continents.
Central to his management approach is the principle that in the defence industry the manufacturing process must be as documentable and traceable as the product itself. The company’s quality management, occupational health and safety, environmental management, production, facility security and service competence certifications are structured within this framework.
In line with the priority set out in the company’s mission, he aims to provide sustainable support for users’ operational requirements through engineering expertise and quality-focused manufacturing.
